Scholarship Fund
The SHARE Institute's Scholarship Fund was
established to help further the education of qualified students
enrolled in nationally accredited institutions of higher education in
the United States. Students who meet the criteria listed below are
encouraged to fill out an application form. If you are interested in
applying for a scholarship, please fill out an application form or call
(916) 966-7482. Applications will be reviewed twice each year, in July
and November.
Criteria:
- Student enrolled in an nationally accredited
institution of higher learning in the United States
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Statement of financial need
- Commitment to SHARE Institute's mission
- Preference is given to students who reside in
Sacramento (the site of the office of the SHARE Institute)
Funds:
Scholarships are in the amount of $100 each. The
Institute will award two scholarships in each funding cycle.
Requirements and Selection Process:
Students should send their application form to the
SHARE Institute Office. A copy of the applicant's transcript (unofficial transcripts are OK)
should accompany the application. One letter of
recommendation from a professor or a mentor is required. The letter of recommendation should address the
strength of the candidate and the reasons the candidate
should be awarded a scholarship. Students will
be notified of the status of their applications within one month of
receipt of the application. The SHARE Institute may request additional
information or references from qualified candidates.
